The Specialist in Your Production
Do you have specific production requirements? The TruFiber P series meets diverse manufacturing needs with multiple configuration options: available as a single-mode laser with up to 2 kW for high-precision applications, or as the multimode variant with up to 6 kW for deeper weld penetration and higher welding speeds—all within a compact housing. Each version can be combined with TRUMPF’s complete laser system technology and supplemented with comprehensive services. The result: A flexibly configurable all-in-one package with an optimal price-performance ratio tailored to your specific production needs.
The TruFiber P is tailored to specific applications. With a choice of single-mode or multimode variants, customizable fiber diameters and lengths, and a selection of compatible optics and sensors, the TruFiber P provides a precisely tailored solution for various processing tasks.
The BrightLine Mode technology combines single-mode and multimode beams in the patented TRUMPF 2-in-1 laser fiber cable. This enables exceptionally high-quality weld seams with minimal spatter, even on demanding and reflective materials.
The compact housing with easily accessible interfaces simplifies integration. The laser fiber is spliced directly to the laser and is optionally available as a 2-in-1 laser fiber cable. The system meets the highest safety standard, Performance Level e (PL e).
With a fiber diameter of just 25 micrometers, the single-mode variant offers the beam quality required for high-precision applications. Ideal for ultra-fine weld seams and cuts that meet the highest quality standards.

Transmission Welding for Lightweight Components
Your challenge: Modern transmissions are becoming increasingly compact and lightweight without compromising performance. Since these components often combine different metals, they place high demands on the welding process.
Our laser recommendation: With power levels of up to 6 kW and outstanding beam quality from fibers with a small core diameter, TruFiber P lasers are ideal for precise deep penetration welding. They enable high-strength welds, even when joining dissimilar materials.

Busbar Welding for Cylindrical Battery Cells
Your challenge: Busbar welding requires reliable connections between battery pole contacts—low-spatter, electrically conductive, and with minimal heat input. Particularly for cylindrical cells, the smallest contact surfaces must be welded with precision and reproducibility to ensure stable, long-lasting connections.
Our laser recommendation: The TruFiber P single-mode lasers provide the highest beam quality for the smallest weld spots, enabling ultra-precise and reproducible seams even on miniature components. BrightLine Mode reduces spatter, even at high welding speeds.

Precision Welding in Medical Technology
Your challenge: The production of endoscopic instruments requires the highest precision and reproducible weld seams. Surfaces must remain flawless without requiring rework, while ensuring the reliable joining of even the smallest components.
Our laser recommendation: The exceptional single-mode beam quality of TruFiber P lasers enables the smallest weld spot diameters for precise, fine weld seams, even on miniaturized components. BrightLine Mode minimizes spatter formation. With active power control and integrated process monitoring, we ensure consistently high quality for your medical applications.

Laser Metal Fusion for 3D Printing
Your challenge: Metallic 3D printing requires precise energy input to selectively melt metal powder layer by layer. Especially in demanding industries such as dental, medical, and aerospace, complex geometries with high material quality are essential.
Our laser recommendation: The single-mode lasers of the TruFiber P series enable maximum design freedom as well as material and weight reduction through their highly focusable beam quality. Stable laser power and beam guidance guarantee reproducible results and high-quality component properties—even for delicate structures and intricate internal contours that cannot be produced conventionally.

Optimize Your Laser with Additional Features
TRUMPF offers well-thought-out solutions that make your production more efficient, safer, and more transparent. From monitoring and data storage to interfaces—explore smart features to configure our fiber lasers to meet your needs.

With BrightLine Mode, you can weld copper, aluminum, mild steel, or stainless steel with minimal spatter. Our patented 2-in-1 laser fiber cable, featuring a single mode core and a multimode ring, is securely spliced to the laser. This enables flexible power distribution between the core and ring, which can then be combined in the optics based on the application. The ring beam enlarges and stabilizes the keyhole opening, allowing process gases to escape more efficiently. This enables low-spatter welding even at high speeds.
Your advantage: Stable process control with full control over power distribution, clean and stable weld seams, and reduced post-processing.

With Active Power Control, laser power remains stable at 100% throughout its lifespan. This intelligent power regulation continuously monitors the laser’s output and automatically adjusts the diode voltage when deviations are detected.
Your advantage: The integrated power reserve ensures your TruFiber S operates at optimal nominal power over its entire lifespan—without manual recalibration.

Process-synchronous storage and visualization of individually selected data from your lasers, connected optics, and process sensors. The data remains entirely under your control.
Your advantage: Transparent quality control, traceable processes, and valuable insights for optimized production.

TRUMPF fiber lasers offer interfaces to all common fieldbus systems. Additionally available: real-time interface, parallel digital I/O, process sensor interface, OPC UA software interface, analog input card, interface for intelligent TRUMPF optics (CFO, PFO).
Your advantage: Effortless and direct integration of a TruFiber laser into your machine or production line.

Every laser requires efficient heat dissipation. We offer cooling units tailored to your specific needs. Depending on your requirements, you can choose from various options, including external heat exchangers, water-to-water or water-to-air cooling.
Your advantage: A perfectly matched cooling system for your laser, manufactured to our strict specifications—for maximum uptime and longevity of your equipment.

Control your fiber laser effortlessly with the TruControl 2 software on the optional panel PC. The intuitive user interface provides a clear overview of the laser’s current status and guides you through the operation process. Clear status indicators ensure full transparency, while the role-based authorization system prevents unauthorized access and ensures stable processes.
Your advantage: A fully integrated control system optimized for your laser that offers easy operation on multiple devices without additional effort. A clear process display and enhanced security through role-based access rights.

In case of a malfunction, our TRUMPF service experts can actively access your laser via a secure remote connection. In many cases, the issue can be resolved immediately. If necessary, the laser can be temporarily reconfigured to maintain production until a replacement part arrives.
Your advantage: Time and cost savings through rapid error analysis when it matters most.
Programmable Focusing Optics
Programmable focusing optics (PFO) direct the laser beam to any desired position within the processing field using mirrors, without moving the workpiece or the optics. With an integrated real-time control loop, the laser accurately reaches its target. The robust design features a back-reflection-protected collimator housing and sensor-based stray light monitoring for reliable, long-lasting operation. These optics can integrate with various TRUMPF or third-party process monitoring sensors via an interface.
Focusing Optics
Focusing optics (BEOs) focus the laser beam onto the workpiece. The focal point of the lens determines the exact processing location on the material. Depending on the imaging ratio, they either deliver the laser's full beam quality for high-precision applications or provide an extended working distance for processes requiring a broader beam diameter or where spatter formation is expected. Since the processing point remains fixed, BEOs must either be moved along an axis or the workpiece must be guided beneath the optics. Thanks to their modular design, the optics can be optimally configured for the specific processing task. Various features are available, such as Crossjet, protective glass monitoring, and process sensors like VisionLine. Additionally, bi- and multifocal beam outputs enable processing at multiple points on a workpiece.
