Carrier

Mechanical engineering and system construction TruPrint Aluminum Additive manufacturing

The carrier supports the optics carrier plates forming the optical system of a TRUMPF laser system. The aim of producing a lightweight and rigid component was achieved using additive manufacturing. The transition from conventional manufacturing to additive manufacturing enables the weight of a carrier to be reduced by 47% and the cost to be reduced by 42%.
