Has your machine unexpectedly ground to a halt? Save money and spare your nerves. By using Condition Monitoring , you transfer the monitoring of your machine condition to TRUMPF's Predictive Service Center. We will notify you proactively if maintenance is due or a failure is imminent. Depending on the urgency and solution, you will receive notification of a recommended action via the Service app, email or phone call. Find out more about the Service app now.

Condition Monitoring for machine tools
Using "Condition Monitoring", you can benefit from active monitoring of your machine and help to reduce unplanned downtimes. By transferring the condition analysis of your machine to our Predictive Service Centre, we notify you immediately of any anomalies and so help to increase your machine availability.
and reduce unplanned downtime with early problem detection.
by obtaining and implementing recommended actions at the right time.
which allows malfunctions to be rectified quickly.
with the broad skill set of TRUMPF's experts.
What does Condition Monitoring entail?
Effective monitoring is essential for quality assurance and early error detection, which avoids consequential damage and associated costs. Our comprehensive monitoring covers various machine components to ensure that your operation runs smoothly and to avoid production downtime. A large number of different components are monitored on various machines.

Examples of Condition Monitoring
On the TruLaser machine, features including the lateral air blast nozzle, the cutting unit and gas pressures are actively monitored. Effective monitoring of the lateral air blast nozzle prevents quality problems in thick sheet by detecting slag deposits at an early stage. Early error detection on the cutting unit ensures that technicians can be deployed effectively. The degree of contamination and any adverse effects are monitored. Monitoring different gas pressures prevents contamination of optical components, which can prevent high follow-on costs and potential total failure of the cutting unit.
On the TruMatic machine, features including the vacuum pump, axes and drives are monitored. An unexpected failure of the CO2 vacuum pump on the resonator can cause the laser beam to stop working. Monitoring this pump prevents potential downtime. Faults in axles and drives such as excess temperature, jamming or excess torque are detected at an early stage to prevent consequential damage.
On the TruBend machine, features including the degree of contamination of the sheets, filters and central lubrication are monitored. The Technical Guide reminds customers to replace filters at the correct time and so can reduce and prevent restrictions. Problems with the central lubrication can be caused by factors including air pressure, empty lubricant and contamination. These can all be detected at an early stage by Condition Monitoring.
