Numerous functions make working with the TruBend Series 5000 even safer, easier, more ergonomic and more productive.
Precision
The user-friendly ACB (Automatically Controlled Bending) Wireless measures and corrects angles using the sensor disks which are integrated in the upper tool. The system automatically detects the position of the sensors; the communication between the tool and control is wireless.
With the ACB laser, you use a non-contact, optical system for angle measurement. A laser projects a line onto the sheet and a camera detects the angle. For this, two measuring units are automatically moved to the right position.
The practical bending aid, including automatic height adjustment, provides valuable help for angles up to 30°. It supports you in the bending of heavy or large parts in particular. You have a choice of synthetic, brush or roller supports.
Variations in the sheet thickness are no longer a problem: sensor systems in the machine detect the thickness of the sheet and the plunging depth is automatically adapted to this.
Material handling and energy efficiency
Support brackets with variable height adjustment make component handling easier. The robust support brackets have a high load capacity and are available with different supports.
You are equipped for almost any eventuality with up to 6 CNC-controlled backgauge axes.
The on-demand servo drive supplies your TruBend machine with precisely the amount of energy needed. It only runs during the bending process; otherwise the hydraulic system is stationary and does not use any energy. If the press beam has to overcome a large pressing depth, it supports it with increased working speed. The drive operates economically, quickly and extremely quietly.
Seamless integration of many TRUMPF machines into your own software environment is very easy. We have the right solution for every combination, whether it be integration into Oseon or a connection to monitoring and analysis tools. A connection to third-party software systems is also possible with our interfaces based on the OPC UA standard.
Ergonomics
Extremely practical and easy to use: The TÜV-tested wireless foot switch provides more freedom of movement and eliminates the risk of tripping for the operator as the tried-and-tested wireless connection of the MagicShoe is used here.
Program parallel to production and produce without paper – the additional monitor on the machine control shows you further information in addition to the required screens and drawings for programming and production. This allows you to program and produce at the same time by using shop floor programming, for example.
Simplify the insertion process for the operator and reduce rejects at the same time – the camera-supported solution, Part Indicator, shows the machine operator how they have to insert the bending part on the monitor of the machine control.

Program your bending machines intelligently using TruTops Boost, the all-in-one solution for 3D design. Numerous automated processes save you time-consuming routine processes. You also profit from a comprehensive ruleset with the bundled technical expertise of TRUMPF.
TecZone Bend
Program faster than ever before: with TecZone Bend you can combine bend programming in the office with shop floor programming at the TruBend bending machine. A program suggestion is automatically created in a few seconds based on 2D and 3D data – including NC program.
Software
The software portfolio from TRUMPF optimises your entire production process – from the customer query to delivery of the finished part. TRUMPF combines the software intelligently with machines and services to create customised Industry 4.0 solutions for your Smart Factory.
You can choose between more than 150 upper and lower tool types for your personal range. You can order tools individually or as a set.
For tools up to 300 mm long, lightweight tools with a weight saving of more than 30% are equipped with the Safety-Click as standard. This reduces the setup time and relieves the strain on the operator.
During the processing of galvanised sheets, even after just a few bends, there may be zinc deposits on the die, resulting in cold welding. This can lead to imprints on the component and imprecision. This can be avoided with the coated LASERdur ZN TRUMPF bending tools. They combine a high level of surface hardness with excellent sliding properties, are corrosion-resistant and do not require cleaning.
For specific requirements, TRUMPF will develop your own personal tool solution. To guarantee the quality of your parts, we test the tools in advance with your specific material and create initial sample parts.
TRUMPF sensor tools function according to the tried-and-tested Automatically Controlled Bending measuring principle. Measurements are carried out directly in the process zone by sensor disks which are integrated in the tool shape.
ToolMaster
With the ToolMaster automatic tool changer, you can set up the TruBend Series 5000 automatically for each new program. This is a priceless benefit, especially for small lot sizes. You save a lot of time and effort.
