Automated handling of thin sheets often scratches or dents the material.  

Suction cups with inserts provide an extra gentle touch when handling your thin sheets. This is made possible, in part, by the integrated double lifting cylinders. TRUMPF's unique technology prevents dents and scratches during part placement.

Manual sorting is tedious, time-consuming and physically strenuous for personnel. 

PartMaster, the ergonomic sorting aid, offers multiple advantages. Firstly, it centralises the sorting process and enhances ergonomics with its adjustable sorting height. Secondly, it speeds up the process by as much as 30%. Thirdly, special rubber bands enable low-scratch unloading. 

Cleaning slats is laborious and time-consuming, and also means that the pallet and in some cases the machine cannot be used.  

Auxiliary pallet handling really comes into its own when processing stainless steel and thick sheet metal. It enables correctly sorted production without contact corrosion, cleaning and replacement of slats parallel to production, and safe removal of cut sheets together with the pallet while the machine continues production. This increases the machine runtime, process reliability and part quality. 

Thin sheets, especially oiled ones, often stick together when peeled off the sheet stack. As a result, incorrect loads disrupt the process. 

In three steps, the ingenious mechanism for separating thin sheets avoids loading double sheets. Firstly, a fanning magnet helps the top sheet on the raw material stack to fan out. Secondly, there is a compressed air blast from the air nozzle. Thirdly, a thin sheet peeler suction cup handles the actual separation of the top sheet. 

Part quality plays a particularly important role when it comes to stainless steel parts. Scratches or contact corrosion can easily occur when unloading the parts.

The belt prongs on the unloading rake ensure that the parts are deposited gently. This is because it avoids relative movement between the good part and the rake arms, thus preventing scratches on the finished part. It also guarantees position-accurate unloading, preventing good parts from sliding under the scrap skeleton grid or finished sheets from fanning out. 

Removing parts from the scrap skeleton is a time-consuming and laborious task. 

Grippers separate the scrap skeleton from the good parts, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual separation. Automatic separation increases your machine runtime and saves on labour costs, meaning that automation quickly pays for itself.
