Competitive advantage through automation: This is what TRUMPF is showing at EuroBLECH 2024

G et ready for the future of manufacturing with smart solutions – the EuroBLECH trade show in Hanover is opening its doors on October 22, 2024. In addition to new technologies for getting started in sheet metal processing, the TRUMPF booth will focus primarily on automation solutions. The highlight solves the crucial problem of sheet metal processing.

Technological change, competitive pressure and a shortage of skilled workers: industry is currently facing major challenges. TRUMPF is countering this with automation solutions that make sheet metal processing more efficient. At EuroBLECH 2024, the company is demonstrating that it has the right solution for every customer – from entry-level sheet metal processing to the fully networked smart factory.

The highlight at the TRUMPF booth is a solution for automated sorting. “For a long time, sorting 2D laser-cut parts was one of the biggest challenges in sheet metal processing. TRUMPF has now succeeded in automating this process for the first time using an innovative method and artificial intelligence. This solution will have a major impact on sheet metal processing,” said Stephan Mayer, CEO Machine Tools at TRUMPF.

Higher productivity in manufacturing

At the trade show, TRUMPF is also launching a new laser cutting machine that is particularly easy to use. It is especially suitable for customers with smaller production volumes who are looking for a reliable machine with low investment and operating costs. The TruLaser Series 3000 Bevel Cut Edition ensures greater efficiency in laser cutting. It automatically produces bevel cutting edges on the upper and lower edges of the component during cutting. This ensures optimal preparation of the welding edges and eliminates the need for the downstream work step that would otherwise be necessary.

The company is also improving productivity in the service area, and will be presenting a solution that enables TRUMPF service experts to detect abnormalities in a machine before they have a negative impact on production. For the customer, this means higher productivity in production and lower service costs. “A machine without good service is not a solid investment. At TRUMPF, we overcome challenges together with our customers. Our service engineers are on site, are professionally competent, solve problems and understand their customer,” said Marcella Montelatici, Managing Director for Sales and Services at TRUMPF Machine Tools.
