1996
Alongside the continual expansion of the product portfolio in the field of sheet metal processing through the integration of additional processes such as bending (1992) and tube processing (1999), TRUMPF also taps into completely new business areas such as medical technology. The company pursues intensive growth and innovation strategies in all areas.
1998
The company quietly celebrates its 75th birthday. A forward-looking approach defines the philosophy and conduct. This includes an expansion of production capacities. On 20 November 1998, a new laser factory is inaugurated at the headquarters in Ditzingen, which underlines TRUMPF's faith in Germany as a production location.
1999
The disk laser multiplies the performance potential of diode-pumped solid-state lasers: TRUMPF presents the first laboratory equipment at the LASER trade fair.
The company adapts to the demands of globalisation and internationalisation with a holding structure. TRUMPF has 4,800 employees worldwide and generates a turnover of 1 billion euros.
2001
The TRUMATIC L 3050 laser cutting machine achieves top cutting speeds, even in thick sheets.
2003
Opening of the new Sales and Service Centre at the site in Ditzingen. The company presents the world's first prototype of a disk laser with 4 kW laser power. With its high beam quality, it opens up completely new application possibilities such as scanner welding.
