Safe Machines, Secure Future – Why Quality Pays Off

In the European markets more and more machines are appearing that, despite bearing the CE mark, do not comply with the European Machinery Directive. These "unsafe" machines are often cheaper to purchase but come with significant risks for companies and users – from performance losses to serious health hazards. In our expert talk, we will explain why TRUMPF consistently prioritizes safe machines and how this benefits you.

Process chain cutting, bending, welding as a deep-drawing alternative - a practical example with the Ford Puma®

TRUMPF, as a leading supplier of sheet metal and laser solutions, is working closely with renowned companies such as Ford, PEM at RWTH Aachen University, Magna, Scio and TÜV on the development of innovative battery packs in the “PEAk-Bat” project. The “cell-to-pack” approach and the use of state-of-the-art cutting, bending and welding technologies are intended to achieve efficiency increases of up to 20% and cost reductions. Finally, the vehicle hardware validations carried out prove the industrial suitability of flexible sheet metal production, from laser-compatible design through to the finished formed and welded component.

“Artificial intelligence and automation - how companies can position themselves more competitively now”

Competitive pressure, high location costs, a difficult order situation - many companies are currently facing challenges. But how can they overcome them? Is the key to this a tough austerity program or rather a bold investment in automation or AI? Experts discuss what companies will be facing in the coming years and what patented solutions can be used to ensure that companies remain competitive in the future and that Germany remains an attractive industrial location.
